You can permanently delete your account and the personal data linked to it at any time, free of charge: straight away in the app, or by sending us an email.
1Cancel your subscription first#
Deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play or App Store subscription. The store keeps billing you until you cancel there. To stop future charges, cancel in the store you subscribed in:
- Google Play: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Insider Stock Trader → Cancel subscription, or https://play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.
- App Store: on your iPhone or iPad, Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Insider Stock Trader → Cancel Subscription, or https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
This applies whichever app you delete the account in: a subscription bought in the App Store is cancelled in the App Store, even if you delete the account in the Android app, and the other way round. The delete screen in the app has a Manage subscription button that takes you there. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
2Delete in the app#
In the app: Settings → Delete account. Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out.
iPhone and iPad
Takes less than a minute
- Open Insider Stock Trader and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Open Settings and scroll to the end.
- Tap Delete account, read the confirmation, then tap Delete account again.
- If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple asks you to confirm once more.
Android
Takes less than a minute
- Open Insider Stock Trader and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Open Settings (the gear icon in the top-right corner of the feed) and scroll to the end.
- Tap Delete account.
- Read the confirmation, then tap Delete account.
No active subscription? You can still delete your account from the subscription screen: open its menu (⋮ on Android, … on iPhone and iPad) and choose Delete account.
Sign in with Apple. When you delete your account in the iPhone or iPad app and you use Sign in with Apple, we also revoke the app's Sign in with Apple authorisation, so the app no longer appears among the apps that use your Apple Account. You can also remove it yourself at any time in Settings → your name → Sign-In & Security → Sign in with Apple.
3Ask us by email#
If you no longer have the app or can't sign in, ask us by email. No form or password is needed.
Email request
Completed within 30 days, usually much sooner
- Write to contact@callisto.ventures with the subject "Delete my account".
- Send it from the email address of your account: for a Google sign-in, your Google account's address; for Sign in with Apple, your Apple Account's address. That address is all we need to find your account and confirm the request is yours.
- If you chose Hide My Email with Sign in with Apple, your account uses a private relay address (ending in @privaterelay.appleid.com), shown in Settings in the app. Include it in your message, and we confirm by replying to that address.
- We confirm receipt, complete the deletion within 30 days, and email you when it's done.
We will never ask for your password or payment details. If we can't match the request to an account, we will reply and ask for clarification. After an email request, remove the app from your Apple Account yourself if you used Sign in with Apple, as described above.
4What is deleted#
- Your account and sign-in identities (email address or private relay address, linked Google and Apple sign-ins, and user ID), and your sign-in sessions
- Your profile and preferences, including onboarding answers, quiet hours and digest time
- Your watchlist
- Your alert settings, saved alert filters, your alert history and your notification history
- The push registrations of your devices (their push-notification tokens)
- The subscription event records we hold about you
- Your customer record at RevenueCat, our subscription management provider
Deletion is permanent. If you sign up again later, you start with a new, empty account.
5What is kept, and for how long#
| Data | Why it is kept | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Google Play and App Store purchase records | Google and Apple keep their own records of your purchases under their own privacy policies. We cannot delete them. | As the stores and tax law require |
| Diagnostic data | Crash reports and app session events from the apps and, if you allowed analytics, usage statistics are held by Google Firebase without being linked to your account. | Up to 90 days for crash reports, up to 14 months for analytics |
| Sign-in security records | Records of past sign-ins (time, IP address, device type), to investigate abuse. | Up to 90 days |
| Server logs | Technical logs that may contain your account id or IP address. Our hosting provider, Railway, keeps them for 90 days and cannot delete them earlier. | Up to 90 days |
| Backups | If backups are enabled, deleted data may remain in database backups until they expire. | Up to 35 days |
| Your deletion request | If you asked by email: your message and our reply, to show we handled it. | Up to 3 years |
Public SEC filings shown in the app are public records, are not your personal data and are not affected.
6Delete some data only#
You can remove companies from your watchlist and change or turn off alerts at any time in the app. To ask us to delete other specific data while keeping your account, email contact@callisto.ventures.
