About the newsroom

Insider Stock Trader Newsroom publishes short, factual reports on large insider trades, written from the Form 4 filings that company insiders send to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Who we are

The newsroom is part of Insider Stock Trader, an app for Android, iPhone and iPad that turns every Form 4 into a simple feed and fast alerts. It is published by CallistoVentures. Editor: Roman Balkan.

How articles are made

Each article is generated automatically from the filing's data within minutes of its publication on SEC.gov, using templates our editor writes and reviews. The software selects the trades, fills in the facts and checks every text against our editorial rules before it is published. The methodology lists exactly which trades qualify and what each article states.

Editorial rules

• We report what the filing states: who traded, their role, the shares, the prices, the value and the dates. Every article links to the filing on SEC.gov.
• We do not predict prices, rate stocks or tell anyone to buy or sell. Information only, not investment advice.
• We cover purchases and sales the filing does not mark as made under a Rule 10b5-1 trading plan.
• When an amended filing (Form 4/A) changes the facts, the article is updated and shows the time of the update. When it no longer meets the rules, it is withdrawn.
